Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do at Flourish.
And by sustainability we’re not just talking about swapping to recycled paper or using vegetable based-inks on our printing (although we do that too…) we’re talking behaving in a responsible manner that takes care of our clients, the community around us, our financial future and our team.
Here’s what we pledge…
Resources
We will never waste resources. If a room isn’t being used, the lights and the heating are switched off. Our computers are on a timer and are shut down every night and we don’t print anything we don’t need to.
We’re proud to be a printing.com franchise. As market leaders in environmentally sustainable printing, printing.com combine efficiency and environmental savvy with commercial acumen to produce great quality print that won’t cost you the earth. We batch produce to minimise paper, plates and ink waste, we used vegetable based inks and print onto either recycled or FSC approved paper stocks.
Corporate social responsibility

We might be small, but we take our responsibility to the wider community incredibly seriously. The Flourish Foundation was created to put something back – up to £6,000 a year in design to be precise, into the local community.
In addition to financial help, we love to inspire new graphic designers and take on around 4 weeks' worth of work placements in a year from local schools and colleges.
Where we can, we will share our knowledge and expertise to help businesses grow – and initiatives such as the Grow Your Business event (co-founded by Fiona Humberstone, Flourish’s MD) and the Horsley Business Network are focused on providing support and inspiration to local business owners.
Financial sustainability
It’s easy to see being “green” as simply reducing your impact on the environment. But at Flourish we also see sustainability as our role in behaving in a financially sustainable future. We don’t want our children to be saddled with the national debt that we’re currently facing so we’re committed to behaving responsibly both in how we run our own business, and in how we recommend you market yours.
We’re focused on organic growth that will sustain itself and our employees around us. We will always source locally where we can and support other small businesses in our purchasing where it is the right thing to do.
