Web Developer Vacancy {Full/Part-Time}, Guildford, Surrey

Award-winning digital creative agency, Flourish, are currently recruiting for part/full time Web Developers to work from their Guildford based studio. Have you got a passion for all things digital from websites to social media? If so then this role will be for you.

The role

You will be working in our Digital Department developing websites, blogs and software for our clients using Wordpress, Nourish (our in-house Content Management System) and other platforms that our customers may require.

Additionally you’ll be providing support and fixes for client managed websites, be responsible for server management and populating websites with content.

This is a role that is based from our Guildford studio. You must be available during office hours and able to come in to the studio to work.

It is essential that you have the ability to work as part of a team, work to deadlines and communicate with your fellow team members. We’re a close-knit team and we pride ourselves on our attention to detail, high levels of customer service and intelligent solutions – and we’ll be expecting the same of you.

You’ll be a great listener and have a strong track record of taking on and following through instructions precisely. You’ll be open to learning and will have a good working knowledge of user accessibility issues.

The following specification is for a full time Web Developer but we will also be happy to interview and talk to any other level of Web Developer who is looking to join our team.

The requirements

• Proven HTML Strict Standard hand-written HTML with fluent CSS.
• Intermediate hand-written javascript.
• Intermediate hand-written PHP5.
• Understanding of security in regards to stored data and user actions.
• Ability to work quickly, methodically and accurately.
• A portfolio of work to show your abilities.
• Fantastic people and communication skills.
• Strong written/verbal English.

The ideals

• Any of the above to an advanced standard.
• Experience in server management - use of Shell and Linux environments.
• SEO and Social Media knowledge.
• Experience working with open-source platforms especially Wordpress.
• Any other skills that you feel you can bring to the team!
